Russ Humphries, CEO Russ Humphries currently serves as CEO of Intrepreneurs, Inc. since founding the company in 1996. As an Enterprise Architect, he is responsible for the long-term research and near-term development of products and technologies for eBusiness solutions. His primary focus is on the design, architecture, and development of products and services with C#, ASP.NET, and Java technologies for Security and Identity Management solutions. Mr. Humphries has over 20 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture and Software Development, creating numerous products and services in identity management, e-commerce, portals, marketplaces, credit card processing, XML, Web Services, databases, and transactional engines. He is well known by his colleagues for his insight into the latest technology advances and his vision for putting technology to work in more efficient, reliable, and automated ways. He is a recognized expert in software development technologies, having pioneered several new application architectures and implementations for the financial services industries. He advises multinational and domestic companies in technology and intellectual property, and serves as an expert witness in high tech arbitration or litigation matters. Mr. Humphries has served as Chief Technology Officer for various internet startups. As CTO of IT Hub, he architected and developed IT Hub's online marketplace as well as their patent-pending N+, H1B2B, and App2User architectures. As CTO of ThoughtBank, he architected and developed ThoughtBuilder - an eBusiness Web application for product innovators and medical product companies. He designed and created the ThoughtBank online marketplace and was co-inventor for the cutting-edge XML patent technologies included in their Innovation Marketplace. Previously, Mr. Humphries was the Director of E-Commerce and Senior Software Architect at Third Millennium Communications (now Enterpulse). In this position, he led the research, development, and design for their next-generation e-commerce product and service offerings and developed numerous products for use in B2B, B2C, and Credit Card Processing. He also architected and developed the award-winning ExpoExchange® e-commerce system. Immediately following its release, ExpoExchange® was awarded the "official e-commerce solution for the tradeshow industry" by IAEM, the International Association for Exhibition Management. The e-products division of Third Millennium Communications was acquired by Galaxy Information Systems and formed as ExpoExchange, LLC - America's #1 provider of registration, housing and sales lead management services to the tradeshow and convention industry. Prior to Third Millennium Communications, Mr. Humphries served as Senior IT Architect for GE Capital Consulting where he created a groundbreaking Internet development laboratory and was recognized by GE's Outstanding Performance award for Innovation and Excellence. He was responsible for creating software architectures and developing enterprise applications for diverse clients in a broad range of industries. He also led, motivated, and coached teams comprised of talented architects, developers, and systems engineers. Mr. Humphries also brings extensive knowledge of security and classified systems from his work with the Naval Surface Warfare Center where he architected and developed numerous classified military software applications for submarine warfare and tracking. He has had numerous patents filed in the areas of e-commerce, staffing, XML, databases, and transactional engine design. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the University of South Carolina in 1990. He is married and the father of three children. |
